What is eFiling?

eFiling is simply the process of lodging documents and fees with the Court online instead of over the counter.

Our system enables you to file 24 hours a day, 7 days a week whilst providing real time, online tracking of lodgements. Lodgement outcomes are also returned to you online.

All documents required to be lodged in the County Court of Victoria for Common Law and Commercial Division proceedings must be filed online.

By law, only legal firms and licensed practitioners are permitted to eFile in the County Court of Victoria.

CITEC Confirm is the County Court of Victoria's sole, trusted provider of eFiling services - a relationship spanning 15 years.

In addition to supporting the County Court of Victoria, CITEC Confirm also provides access to eFiling with the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Queensland Magistrates Court and the Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).

Start eFiling in the County Court of Victoria

  1. Register a Pre-paid Account online or contact us on 1800 773 773 to discuss setting up a Post-paid Account.

    Pre-paid accounts require balance top-ups prior to searching whereas Post-paid accounts are invoiced. There are no registration fees or ongoing maintenance/subscription costs associated with any of our accounts.
  2. Log in to the CITEC Confirm system and select the VIC County Court eFiling link from the Main Menu.

    You will be prompted to complete a Request for Access form. We aim to process all applications on the same business day they are received, however, under some circumstances your application may be processed on the next business day.
  3. Once your account has been granted access to VIC County Court eFiling, head over to our Fees page and familiarise yourself with the Court costs associated with eFiling.

    If you have a Pre-paid Account, you should add the necessary funds to your account prior to the commencement of any eFiling - this will prevent you from needing to top up your balance mid-matter.

    If you have a Post-paid account, you can begin eFiling immediately.

How can I access other eFiling jurisdictions?

If your account is granted access to eFile in the County Court of Victoria, we will also provide you with access to eFile in the Supreme Court of Victoria.

At your request, we can also provide you with additional access to eFile in the following jurisdictions:

  • Magistrates' Court of Victoria
  • Queensland Magistrates Court
  • Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal (QCAT)
