What information will I get from an Owner Name Search?

This search returns a browse list showing properties with registered proprietor details that match your search criteria. Browse lists are arranged alphabetically in ascending order up to a maximum of 500 results.
The browse list includes the following details where available:

  • Property Address
  • RPD & Zoning Info*
  • Title Status
  • Owner/s Name
  • Owner/s Address

Note that your result may include properties owned by several different individuals sharing the same name.

*RPD & Zoning Info may or may not contain Parish information, depending on whether the land parcel is existing or a new parcel.

What information should I enter as search criteria?

When searching on an individual both Surname and Given Name/s should be entered. Given names can be separated by a space or a wildcard (%). When searching on a company leave out common words or abbreviations such as 'Pty' or 'Limited'. Wildcards can be used in any field to extend your search parameters.

Can I search on Joint Tenants or Tenants in Common?

Many properties are owned by more than one individual or company. An Owner Name search will return those properties where the subject is a joint or part owner, as well as those where the subject is the sole owner.

In all cases, only the details of one individual or company should be entered as criteria for your owner name search.

How do I search on a Surname, Given Name or Company Name that has non alphabetical characters?

The only non alphabetical character that can be used in a Surname, Given Name or Company Name field is a hyphen. To search on names that include other characters such as apostrophes, enter the name with a wildcard in place of the character, e.g. O'brien becomes O%brien.

Can I do an Owner Name Search on a body corporate?

The name of a body corporate can not be used in the Surname/Company Name field as a body corporate is the property manager, not the property owner.

Can I do a Sales or Property Report from the Owner Name browse screen?

The only additional search available from an Owner Name browse list is a Title Search.
