Information broker initiates technology refresh

11 December 2007

To improve search functionality for clients, leading Australian information broker CITEC Confirm will initiate the next phase of a major technology refresh in late November.

The next major product to be released as part of the refresh, Victorian Lands, will provide clients nationwide with easier access to land documents, title packages, land index information, property certificates and title tracking searches from Victoria.

Victorian Lands is the first of a number of new and enhanced products planned for release over the next 12 months as part of the refresh.

“Our clients will notice an immediate improvement in functionality with the Victorian Lands release,” said CITEC Confirm General Manager Peter Buchan.

“Some of the product enhancements include simple, intuitive search screens for faster processing, easier retrieval of search results from the Confirm online storage area, provision of search results in PDF as well as the incorporation of a convenient email function into the search facility.

“In addition, CITEC Confirm clients will benefit from our unparalleled disaster recovery and business continuity capability.

“With the flick of a switch we can route our clients to a backup high security data centre ensuring minimal disruption if a threat materialises.”

According to Mr Buchan, the technology refresh is the culmination of more than 12 months intensive research and development.

“We’ve gone to great lengths to develop a new technology and client service standard, based largely on client feedback,” he said.

“To allow us to work with our clients to achieve seamless integration with their businesses, we have assembled an in-house team of software development experts to assist with business integration.”

CITEC Confirm is a fully commercialised business unit of Queensland Government information, communication and technology provider CITEC.

The business operates nationally and conducts about five million commercial information transactions each year for the Australian banking, finance, insurance, legal and property industries.
