New network brings flexibility, security and scalability

CITEC’s frame relay network is soon to be replaced with a next generation service that will significantly improve our clients’ network security, scalability and affordability.

CITEC has provided managed data services over its CCNet frame relay network since 1986. More recently, we developed a new and improved network – the Corporate Services Network (CSN®) which was successfully deployed in 2004. The CSN service is scheduled to replace the former CCNet network service by May 2005.

All remaining CCNet clients will soon migrate over to the CSN. To minimise the impact of this migration, CITEC will overlay the CCNet network onto the CSN, so there will be no obvious change to clients’ network operations.

In general, the CSN will provide clients with the same network capacity as they currently enjoy. Additionally, the CSN has the flexibility to integrate with available and emerging access methods, such as xDSL and wireless, enabling clients to respond more readily to changing business needs.

A number of CITEC clients, including Sydney Water, Rabobank, ORIX Australia and Star Track Express, have recognised the benefits of the CSN and have already completed a seamless migration to the new network.
