Acting Managing Director of CITEC appointed

CITEC's General Manager Finance and Corporate Services, Tony Skippington, has been appointed Acting Managing Director commencing next Tuesday 26 April 2005.
A qualified accountant with 22 years' experience in financial management across the Queensland public sector, Mr Skippington has held a number of senior positions within CITEC during his career. He also worked at the Queensland Audit Office for 10 years in a variety of audit and senior management roles.
Announcing the appointment today, Minister for Public Works, Housing and Racing, Robert Schwarten, said Mr Skippington's extensive experience would ensure CITEC customers and staff could expect a continued high level of service.
The Managing Director position was vacated by Dr Mark Rainbird last week.
